ggarso
I received a response back from Lisa Signore today. Its insane, the papers she sent from the OC say 0 balance owed on both pieces. Except for where she obviously wrote the amounts in and marked zero out in blue ink. What options do I have? Thanks, Gary

I would write back that they provided no justification for manually doctoring the records sent from the OC.
divemedic
Not yet. Do not be so quick to threaten suit. Send a repeat and ask her why she changed the information from the OC. Point out that they account remains unverified.

I would have been BOILING had I opened a response to my DV like that.I just sent off a DV today to a JDB that came out of nowhere (no activity for 3 yrs, then an NCOA prompted letters 2 wks ago and a law office threat that arrived last Friday). ggarso
These are both way past the SOL but yes the ink does match. I was very pissed I just couldnt grasp that they would do that. I will have to send another email to her
Texadelphia
These are both way past the SOL but yes the ink does match. I was very pissed I just couldnt grasp that they would do that. I will have to send another email to herNO EMAIL!CMRRR (Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested).Courts are less likely to believe email correspondence between you and the CO/CA--should you need to exercise that option. Now that you got actual paper evidence from them, and it appears that they changed the figures, you should keep your communication strictly on paper. You sent a DV and they replied, but be sure to send the second one so that when you get your "Green Card" the clock starts ticking again on the time to respond.Just address her name below Orchard's name "% Ms. So-and-So, Dept Such and Such" so when your CMRRR hits the mailroom, it goes back to you, but the letter goes straight to her.I use stamps.com and I have a 4" stack of green cards, so I can quickly fire off a piece of mail, make a copy of it at home, print the envelope with the CMRRR charges already on the envelope and I affix the CMRRR at home and dump it in the maildrop w/o dealing with a post office. For SERIOUS stuff (ITS) I use Registred Mail, which really needs to go to a PO by hand... and of course, legal papers that your lawyer draws up you should get a process server to deliver those.I had to use the process server bit for fighting an auto subrogation on an unpaid insurance claim, and I'm now getting ready to fight an old fradulent Providian card.Good luck!
