secondchances
Does that mean that they have to remove the entries on the credit report until the debt is validated?

Recovering Attorney
No. You can demand it, and sometimes "they" do. But it should not be reported once you DV, and it should be corrected to show your dispute.

momof5
NO...they can continue to report...only it must be changed to a status of disputed. The only time they cease collections is during the intial 30 day validation period. After that, they can continue to collect even during validation.
RSB
When a JDB company claims to have validated a debt, can they remove "disputed" on the credit report, even if the consumer says the debt is not validated? And, can the JDB continue sending bills with growing intrest and fees?
