Ca is in dispute can Creditor see this ?

Recommended Posts

So Earth angel if I am applying for a CC and my EQ Fico score is 643 yet I only have 1 negative CA in dispute how will that effect their decision ? I have no other baddies on my CR ? Can you help ? Thanks....:)

Some lenders auto-deny if there's a CA or CO on the account. I wasn't denied for a BofA card, for example, though I was only offered the 99/500.

You'd probably be better off getting rid of your remaining baddie before applying for anything.

That all depends on the CC you're applying for. There are sites that you can search to look up who pulls what (they're listed in another recent thread of yours). Some creditors will look over baddies and some won't. It depends on the criteria they set in their computer database for approvals. For instance, I was approved for all of my current credit cards w/ baddies. HOWEVER, my rates are not the best b/c of it. You'll need to consider that as well. If you don't care about rates and just need to build credit, then by all means, apply for something. But make sure you do your homework first.

I agree with this based on my experience. When I applied for Patelco I had a small medical under $100 on my EX report and it was marked in dispute. I received an e-mail from Patelco asking me to explain that collection. I told them it had been paid by my insurance and I had sent in the info but EX did not remove it. I was ready to fax to them if they needed the info but they went ahead and approved me for a CC without asking to see this documentation. So they DO see the tradeline but at the end it is their decision how much weight they place on the baddie. Just my two cents. :)

Good point !! Penfed turned me down for a CC but the guy told me to fax this one baddie into them and explain the situation..I haven't done it but getting rid of this OSI account has been hell....they just wont budge and either will the CRA's...I have ben after it for nearly a year now. You would think the CRAs would say " hell its only a $85 account...and even though its not mine it shows as PAid !!!! UGH !!!!!!!!
