Jerky
When a CA gets a judgment against you I'm sure that they rush to get that inserted into your credit report. When the judgment has been satisfied are they required to inform the CRA's that it has been? If so what part of the FCRA would state that?
elyse449
It's my understanding that they have to report the judgment as "paid." It also should have a -0- balance. I'm not sure as far as how long they have to update the records though, maybe someone else would have better info/thoughts. If it isn't reporting correctly, dispute it with the credit bureaus. Some may suggest disputing with the furnisher and I would agree w/ that to. In fact, it's probably better because you don't want to enemy out of any of those 3 CB's.Elyse
