You need to raise their status as a defense:

Plaintiff lacks the legal capacity to bring this action,

and

Plaintiff lacks the legal standing to bring and maintain this action

And in discovery, seek the "chain of title" and insist on affidaivits signed by the OC and previous holders. Anything else is hearsay and should be ignored by the court.
