tmac01
I asked TU to verify an account and in 2 days they verified it as mine. I hadn't even received the green card from the postal service back yet...How in the hell did TU verify this account so fast ? What should I do from here. If I ask them to send me an MOV where a good place to get a good MOV letter ? I have not had much luck with MOV's...Any help is appreciated !! pilgrimfaraway
Here's an interesting comment on this: http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?p=713935. Also, I found this: http://www.creditinfocenter.com/repair/MethodOfVerification.shtmlHere, the same thing - they talk about doing an MOV, but it's really just a perfunctory calling the CRA to ask for the MOV, knowing that 99% of the time they don't have anything useful to say, and then request the number for the creditor. The section titled "The Method" on this page is pretty good, however. tmac01
So in other words an MOV is useless just like I thought ? Man these last few TL's are impossible to remove. I was blown away when I was down to 1 TL with EQ and then BAM !! I was hit with 2 reinsertions from 2 years ago !! And then theirs OSI Recovery the big a..hole CA that just will not delete an $85 paid collection acct thats not even mine...This is like being at war my friend
pilgrimfaraway
Wow! I didn't realize you had 2 reinsertions! Well, document everything and you will have that resolved quickly. The rules about reinsertion are very clear and in the favor of the consumer.Remember - reinsertions do not have to be blocked if the creditor verifies their accuracy, but they do have to notify you of the reinsertion. I have read about CRA's blocking verified, reinserted info in order to placate a litigious consumer who was not notified within 5 days of the reinsertion. tmac01
Well Pilgrim, I sent them a letter stating the violation code of the FCRA that they had committed. I also reminded them that each violation was $1,000. I then just simply told them that they had reinserted previously deleted accts ( I enclosed copies of these deletions from their company EQ) and that they needed to remove them ASAP or I would excersise my lawful rights under the FCRA. I tried calling them on Monday but some girl tried telling me that they were out until this coming Monday. She started to get real rude with me when I told her that i needed to talk to someone about a reinsertion. Anyway, how long would you give them before you take any more action and if they do not comply then what would you do next ? Thanks alot....
