Credit Repair, Change of Residence

Hello All

thanks for the great info posted on this site. I have just started the journey of credit repair. I have a few questions regarding how the SOL works..

I opened accounts (credit cards) in NC like six years ago. I stopped paying credit cards three years ago as I was in financial troubles. I moved from NC to different states CA, NY and now in NJ. By reading on the forums here I understood that the SOL in NC is 3 yrs. As I live in NJ, under what jurisdiction my SOL falls. Can I start validating debt and dispute with the CA's as SOL expired in NC? Does the CA's use NJ's laws to collect the debt from me? Please help me in this regard and post any helpful information that you are aware of.
