Can multiple actions be brought against the same CA simultaneously?

To get straight to the point, I am dealing with a CA who has violated FDCPA 9 times. If my understanding is correct, the maximum damages that I can seek in one ACTION is $1000.00 regardless of the number of violations.

As such, am I able to file actions separately for each violation, or is that simply wishful thinking?

The CA would move to have the actions consolidated into one because they all occurred prior to your filing.

The only scenario where such a course would be feasible would be to file a suit, then if they violate subsequent to your filing, you could file a new suit on that violation etc.

However, you're more likely to approach the $1000.00 award with an action involving 9 violations. Otherwise you might end up with 9 suits netting you $100.00 each.
