Letter to Credit Agencies-AFNI being stubborn

Hello Everyone!

I have been very happy with my DV Efforts so far-of the first four accounts I sent DV letters to, 3 of them have already closed the accounts and removed them from my credit reports-Diversified Adjustment Service, Cavalry Portfolio Services and Collection Company of America. There is an account on my EQ report for AFNI, and I have sent out 2 letters to them already-one to DV and the second to let them know if they did not remove it, legal action will follow. What if any type of letter should I be sending to the CRA's themselves during this process?:confused: Thanks!

If they won't validate and if they haven't sent you even the basic info I'd go ahead and dispute w/ the three CRA's immediately. Let them know you attempted to validate w/ the "furnisher" and have received no response, include copies of your letters along w/ copies of the green cards with the disputes to the CRA's. That's my thought--or you could just dispute and see if they come off and if they don't, then send further info.

"Cavalry Portfolio Services" is? I just got my credit report and they are under inquiries 5 times?

I recently went through the same thing with ASSNI, oops! I mean AFNI...I req'd validation, sent CMRRR twice and request for verification from the 3 CRA's while awaiting their response...both times they failed to respond but had the nerve to verify with the CRA's...

I filed an online complaint with the Illinois BBB on 11/17 explaining the above and they contacted AFNI with my complaint. On 12/01 I rec'd response from BBB with AFNI's agreement to delete "in the interest of customer satisfaction". HA-LIARS KNEW THEY WERE WRONG!

As of 12/06 they had indeed deleted!
