credit card suit at state court, please help

Recently, I have had 2 debt collectore sue me in magistrate court for credit card debt and had to dismiss the claim because they could not validate. I am now facing another suit that is in state court. When I went to turn in my response, I had used a magistrate form to ask for validation. The clerk told me to cross through magistrate and write state and he would accept it. When I asked 2 clerks the difference their response was that they did not know. Do I present my case differently now that it is in state court? Is there a difference between the two? Did I endanger my case using the magistrate form?

Thanks for any advise and suggestions.
