Received a phone call monday night about an old payday loan that has been bought by Paragon Way. I have yet to receive anything in writing but I am being asked for payment over the phone. Basically all they have is my name ssn and what they say the date of last DQ was,Of course this is incorrect.

Being the curious bastard I am, I called the OC and they said the account was sold on 29 Nov 2006. On the phone with the call center of Paragon I requested that they furnish me with the check after payment is received in full. They refused. Now What? I have been told by the nice lady:rolleyes: in

Consumer Resolutions that they do not have the check or a copy of the check and yet the debt can still be validated by them because I gave the last 4 of my ssn... I know shes full of crap and I could DV but I want to know what happened to that check...Of course Im having fun with the apes of the call center...( Unethical I know. But I dont like being talked down too)

Does anyone have info on Paragon way....or Payay loan collections in general? By not having a copy of the check I dont think they could validate.

help would be appreciated.. thanks

Ha..good luck is all I have to say. I have been dealing with these jerks since AUGUST of 2006. I sent my 1st DV letter in Sept., no reply. The 2nd went out in Nov., no reply. I disputed it with Equifax and AMAZINGLY it was validated both times!!. Hmm, odd...they can prove it to Equifax but give me no proof??. I called and spoke to someone who said they were "waiting on something they had ordered (some docs?). Frankly the jerks have had MORE than enough time to get proof. How do I get them off my credit??!!

NCSU I was able to remove my Paragonway TL so I know it's possible...I DV'd them twice and then sent them an Intent to Sue letter...that did it...they remove the TL very quick...I don't know if it scared them or not! Something happen that it got deleted.
