Thanks for reading my question.

I had a unpaid debt with Ford Motor Credit (FMC), which they reported to all credit bureaus for 7 years. It recently was removed from all reports, but I just received a letter from a collection agency who is trying to collect. Im confused, FMC never tried to collect from me, but now they have a collection agency billing me. What should I do? Is this going to re appear on my credit reports if I pay or not pay?

Thanks........I live in California.

You're past the SOL, so they can't do much to collect it from you.

And, the account is past the 7 year reporting limit it sounds like, so they can't legally put it back on your report.

The will probably keep sending you threatening letters, but they can't really do anything about it but harass you.

I don't think I'd worry about them too much, unless they try illegal tactics.
