Should i send a DV letter to the OC myself?

It's my understanding that OC's aren't bound by the same laws/regs that collection companies are, however-if you truly believe this account is not yours I would think you're well within your right to question it directly with them. In fact, I would've done that PRIOR to contacting the credit bureau's and disputing with them, but that's me. Good luck.

One of the items i keep disputing keeps coming back verified, and experian wont tell me how the OC verified the dispute, so should i send a DV letter personally to the OC???

DV is terminology on this site for dealing with collection agencies, but you can certainly dispute with the OC as well. Keep in mind that it's likely the only investigation that is being done by the CRA is through an automated system (two digit codes back and forth with the CRA and OC) and is cursory at best. If you dispute with the OC you may get them to do some research beyond the automated system.

Have you sent a certified letter to the credit bureau asking them the "Method of Verification (MOV). There are sample letters you can send them in which they have to show how they obtained their information. :boxing:
