Ffico
So, I've been in repairing my credit for little over a year. Since starting, I have obtained a Orchard card (initially $500 cl, now $700 cl) that is now slightly over a year old with payments on time. I now need to establish more TLs. I have one serious baddie (CA for about 12K) reported since 09/05. After DV the company, all collection activity ceased, yet they are still reporting. Other than that:shock: , My report isn't too bad. Scores range from 650 to 670 according to MyFico. I also have a mortgage reporting positively as well a car (less than a year). So, based on your experience, should I try the Juniper card, Barclay Bank (USAIR), of HSBC card all of which I have been invited? Or, is Hooters a better choice? LNY
Did you read through this forum? Many people have posted their experiences and circumstances, with regard to several of these cards. Perhaps some of their circumstances resemble yours, which will help you to decide. For instance, because one poster personally likes Walmart, that doesn't mean you have a chance of getting it. Maybe your score/report doesn't meet their requirements... do you know what report these cards pull in your state, and does that report measure up to what they usually require? There's more to this than you think. That's why you should read.

I have a pretty decent history outside of that. CA is 1 to 1.5 years old, depending on bureau.

CA is 1 to 1.5 years old, depending on bureau.Just remember not to apply for things unless there's a good chance you'll get them. Know who they pull in your state. Know what score they usually require. Know if they are forgiving of baddies, and how old they need to be. Know if they're picky about inquiries. There's no sense in burning inquiries with random applications. We've ALL made that mistake!!! Applications should only be made after careful research, unless you have no inquiries on your reports and can afford to burn a few.Do you know your recent FICO scores on all three reports?
