my debt vs. community assets

I have credit card debt that was incurred before I was married (before we even met actually) and is now charged off. I am wondering how any assets we have now or may in the future could be impacted by that debt. I'll put it this way to try and be simple:

before May 2003: I incurred debt (my own accounts)

March 2004: met future spouse

March 2005: married

October 2005: purchased home (spouse's money used. I am not on deed or note, but it IS our marital residence).

I am concerned about any possible liens, lawsuits, etc. And if I filed personal CH7, would the home be included in the assets? (there is more equity than NJ exemptions allow, from what I understand anyway)

Thanks in advance for everyone's time.
