Advice on PFD stratagy

Hello,

I've got a 3 year old CO with Applied Card bank (used to be Cross Country).

I get the form letters every couple of months from the CA that handles the account. The CRA's list the account as belonging to the OC and it updates each month as bad debt. I have of course tried disputing which didn't work.

Should I be sending the PFD letter to the OC or to the CA or both at once?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Here's my PFD strategy. Forget you ever heard of PFD.

The only time you get an agreement to delete is a settlement agreement when you were suing or about to sue on actual violations.

Forget PFDs when it comes to JDBs or CAs. MAYBE you can get one from ACB, I dunno. Creditors sometimes are a little more lenient in this regard. Offer a PFD or a re-aging plan to bring the acct current and erase negative history.

I just got 3 collections deleted for a PFD from a CA. I had several violations against this company. I decided to settle with this CA instead of suing. All I wanted was the deletions. I have 1 more collection account left from 2003. They will not budge on a PFD. I want to pay it but I dont want to reage the account. I know they are still in communication with the OC. So I am going to try again with them. These were medical collections so only the CA's were reporting. It may be harder to get a PFD if both the CA's and OC's are reporting on your credit report.

My dh's Applied Card Bank went to Weltman, Weinburg & Reis. :( I'm not sure what to do about it, they call us almost every day now that tax season is here. I want to take care of it, but don't know what to do. I'll be reading a lot here for some direction! PFD's never work for me...well, they haven't so far anyway.
