jklscore
Does having a secured credit card with $500 limit lowers one's FICO?How would they know if it's a secured card? My truecredit report doesn't state that it is secured... It was indeed B of A US Airways card with $99 deposit.
credit_junkie87
The prevailing opinion at this site is that limits don't matter. What matters is your utilization. However if your report is ever reviewed by a human being it does matter.
VonAngel (aka EarthAngel)
How would they know if it's a secured card?Exactly. FICO doesn't know that, therefore, doesn't factor that into its calculations. However, it may appear as a when your report is manually reviewed.
