tmac01
Man just as I cleared up my EQ and was down to just 2 baddies on my EX and TU CR's BAM I was hit with a $390 dental bill that I do not owe. It is from a small CA back in my hometown. I already asked EX and TU to verify it but now its on my EQ score. The biggest problem is that the address and phone number that the CRA's have given me are no good. The phone is disconnected and nothing exists at the address listed. If I can find this information should I DV the CA and if so how should I approach them...nicely, aggresively ( threaten lawsuits in a nice way ) ...Man you clear one neg.TL and here comes another one....any help is appreciated !! Recovering Attorney
Go directly to the provider, explain why you think you don't owe it, tell them how you can't get ahold of the CA, and how this is ruining your otherwise good credit. Address the provider direectly, not the office battleax. She will do nothing for you ( after all, she sent it to the CA in the first place).Another tack is to remove old addresses for myour CR< wait a onth or two, then dispute with the CRAs. If they had to show their method of verification, what would they show?
