pierce894
I have a state tax lien from 2002. It was from when I lived in KY. (I live in Illinois, now.) Is there any advice that any of you can give me about this, other than to pay it off? I do plan to pay it off soon, but I didn't know if there was a way I can get the amount lowered, or anything like that. Thanks in advance for your help! gypsie
Sorry, but the government is not one for negociating. If you're having problems paying the debt, you may want to ask a tax attorney what your options are. For me personally in MS, the state took whatever payments I sent until I paid it off.The longer you wait, the longer it will remain on your CR. It will not be removed until 7 years from the date paid.
