BIG COOP
I was just checking my credit report, and I see that a colletion item that was deleted some months ago is now back on my report. What course of action can I take, or should I take to resolve this matter?
gypsie
The CRA has to notify you in writing within 5 business days. If you did not receive any written notification as stated, then the CRA has violated FCRA Part (A)(5)((ii). IMO, and this has happened to me once - Experian re-inserted a previously removed negative tradeline. So, I called experian's dispute number and told the representative (in a very nice tone) - an item has been re-inserted that was removed months ago and I never received any notification. It was gone the next day.
momof5
Cool idea....I have that with TU and I have yet to call. It was gone the week before Thanksgiving and then re-inserted.
