phoenix_rising
I am new to the board and am getting an idea of how the credit repair/dispute/VD process goes. I just don't have much time and frankly I am getting burned out thinking about my credit. If I could have someone else do a good job for me I would not mind paying for it.Someone else on the board recommended Centurion, found at www.yourcreditattorney.com. I looked at the website and it looks promising and I find the fees reasonable.Has anyone else used them or know their reputation? And last but not least... if the info is accurate how do you manage to get it dropped from the CR?
momof5
First off, there isn't a thing they will do for you that you cannot do for yourself for a whole lot less. When you spend the time doing the research and writing the disputes and mailing them....doing the work....you rarely repeat the mistakes that brought you here! phoenix_rising
I just checked BBB and Centurion gets an F. I have read a bit more and it looks like I am going to start doing this myself after I get my debt paid away. So, just sending disputes in... they do not bother to verify... and I get a deletion... that is how this all works? It seems too good to be true...
thomassl
I agree with MOMof5, everything they do, you can do yourself! I think you will find that most people on the forum do not utilize credit repair companies. It took time for your credit to get in the state it is, so it will take time to repair it! Why not do it at no cost to yourself for the same amount of time?
Winninger
I used Lexington Law, and am now in a BBB dispute with them. They do strictly mechanical work, nothing of a legal nature. They did manage to get me started and shake off "low hanging fruit." Am doing it on my own now, better and cheaper.
