Approved for Dillards CC but got low CL..

Recommended Posts

I was in Dillards shopping today as they are having a huge sale and the lady asked me "would you like to apply for a Dillards CC you will get $20 off of your purchase today ?' I said why not I have been on a role..she said "your approved congratulations." I asked her what my limit was and she said " $200." I was like "what the hell." I thought Dillards was known for giving decent CL's and giving credit to those with not so good credit. $200 ? Thats less than my $300 Target Red Card...C,mon Dillards !!!!!!

I wouldnt worry too much about that low cl...

you'll be in the thousands in a few months of payments (from what I've heard) and from my past experience with store cards.......

They wont even speak to me now, even though I spend lots of money there (and never had THEIR card....but I burned their underwriting company (the one they use now) GEMB...................so :-( for me

Hey guys, finally got an increase today!!!! You know with your Dillards account you can request an increase online whenever you want and they automatically give you an answer. Well, after billions of times of requesting an increase, I expected the usual, "no," screen, but they approved it! It's not much, from $150 to $450, but hey, I'll take it!!! The utiliation of the account now, (my balance is $40), should boost my scores a bit hopefully.

Estee Lauder is on gift this week at my local Dillards...... :-) Oh yeah!

I have no store cards yet, will wait a while before applying. I have a couple of new CC's that I want to get some time on first. I don't want too many new accounts. I walked through a Dillards at a mall at home when I parked near their entrance. It's amazing what some people will buy based on the tag on the clothing. There was a rack of t shirts in the menswear section. Plain, white, cotton Tshirts. The little tag on the neck said Hilfiger, its sad that some idiots will pay close to $20 for a white Tshirt that was probably made by Hanes in the first place.

Question: In 2004 I was 90 days late with Dillards - after speaking with them I arranged payment and credit was up & running like never before but now in 2008 they keep reporting my lateness and yes I was late and yes it was my fault but what now?? How do I get them to clear that out. I haven't been late since and they have since increased my limit but I still show them as Adverse on Credit Report.

Any ideas? Any??
