EREYES
Hey Guys, I am in the process of getting ready to pay off Federal and State Tax Lienswas wondering if any one has gone thru this before. Want to know if I should get a letter from both the IRS and the State as I pay them of a removal of the liens from my credit report. Wondering what would be the fastest way to get these off my credit reports if I do this in person at the state office and the IRS office. Thanks in advance. hopen4800
Hi, I am new at this ,too. But my experience with fed and state leins is that they move fairly efficiently to provide release of lein docs. That was the easy part for me. The hard part is getting them off your cr. These are public records and are easily verified. A vacating of judgment is tough (read:nearly impossible) for most situations. I kept disputing with CRA's and if your court clerk spends more time at starbucks than researching records you got a chance. Be persistent. I'm sure there are more clever approaches to this...watch and see. Peace
