brattylatina
I posted something similiar to this in another forum but thought I would get the answer here. I have a Household account charged off in 2003. However, since I filed chap 13 November 2004, the listing is now showing that it will be removed November 2011. Is that correct? It was charged off in 2003 before it was included in Chapter 13. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, the Chap 13 was dismissed June 2005. LadynRed
No, that is NOT correct. The date of first delinquency would NOT change because you filed BK AFTER it the account was charged-off. The drop-off date should NOT change in this case - should be 7-1/2 years from date of first delinquency that immediately preceded placement for collections and/or charge-off.Dispute it as illegally re-aged ! brattylatina
Lady,I have disputed with the bureaus. The only one that is reporting what I believe is the correct fall-off date is TU. Although they are still reporting date closed as of the date that I filed Ch 13. I disputed with EQ and EX and then I received a letter from Household saying they have received numerous disputes, blah, blah, blah. This isn't past the sol so should I leave alone for now or insist that they fix the removal date? It should be 2010 instead of 2011 as they are reporting to EQ and EX. Should I now send a letter directly to Household?
