daniel2010
I have paid off my Tax Lien and I would like to remove this Tax lien from my Credit report. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know that Tax Liens remain on your credit report for 7 years after its paid, but is there any other way to remove it?
gypsie
This question gets asked alot, if you do a search- you'll find some experiencesThe government is not one for negociating- period. It's highly unlikely that they'll remove it if asked. They are the government- IME, they don't care.If it has been at least 3-6 months since you paid it off -send a request to the CRA to verify it/dispute it. Maybe now that the IRS has been paid they won't even bother responding to the bureaus request and instead of being listed as "paid tax lien" it may be removed. It's worth a shot. good luck
