vali1961
If a CA or any other JDB buys your debt from OC does that start SOL again? It is considered a new debt / case? Many thanks
SOC
nope. SOL is just that. they can only report for so long, and can only sue for so long, or pray you dont show up in court to raise that defense.

LadynRed
What's to laugh at ??? The SOL does NOT prevent anyone from SUING you, unless you live in CA or WI. It is an affirmative defense if you are sued. How many times a debt is sold means NOTHING as long as you never make any payments or 'promises' to pay on a debt ever again. The date of default remains the same - generally 30 days after the last payment was due and you didn't pay.
June
What's to laugh at ??? I'm sorry. With all due respect, it was hilarious (to me) because for some reason I had visualized a dirty JDB "praying" that someone doesn't show up for court. I do apologize for laughing. I know that Credit Repair is serious business.
