DurangoDAWG
I have a judgement against me by HSBC on my vehicle. Since they were awarded an amount in court and have a judgement (a lien on myself), should I not get the actual title of the vehicle? I would think the lien was against the vehicle originally, but now that they have a lien against me, they should relinquish the title. I would try to sell the vehicle to help pay off the judgement.Any info would be appreciated.
Recovering Attorney
Sell the car, pay them off. It is not a lien on the title of your car. They have to send an execution specific to the car for that. You sell it as you would, subject to any auto loan holder's rights.
