IngridA
I'm working on building a case against a CA for reporting a duplicate TL on my Equifax report....in reviewing my EQ CR, I noticed that the TL is not noted as "disputed"....who is responsible for notating the TL? Is it the CA based on my DV letter, or the CRA, based on my investigation request? This is now my 4th go-around on getting this deleted....does each instance count as a violation? Thanks in advance! qtptute
When the CRA sends the dispute to the CA then sends the information to the CRA as disputed. If the CA doesn't respond to the CRA's request for validation wihtin 30 days, the CRA is to delete.
myscoresawful
I once had a garbage service who turned me in for $23.00! (they said I didn't notify them when I moved and so they continued to go by there, even though there was never garbage outside..*rme*)Anyway, they had two offices, one in the town where I lived and one about 45 miles away which was the home office.I don't know how they came up with two different account numbers, but it was the same exact amount and dates, etc. I contacted Eq and they verified it with both offices. But if Eq would have said "hey, she's not disputing the bill, she's just saying that you're both reporting it, they could have understood the dispute and corrected it.I ended up having to call and mail both offices, and after all was said and done, the just ended up deleting both from my report and apologized to me for their error. I don't know if they would have been so gracious had it been a lot more money.I had no CA to deal with, just the OC. You may have to go directly to the source. June
You want to know what I had discovered:Where the CRAs clerk is confused you will most likely get Delete(s).I had 2 CAs reporting the same alleged OC account with different dates and same balance. I tried to explain that in a letter .Well, the CRA clerk Deleted both. This had happened twice. I never disputed the debt or accounts itself, I disputed 2 CAs for same OC account....... Letter was quite confusing for me. But I got 2 Deletes!!!!!!!!
