RSB
Should I send a letter to the JDB to notify them the SOL and run, and has expired? Is that admitting the debt is/was mine, or agreeing to the amount the JDB claims I owe? When they send a bill, I always ask them to DV the debt. Maybe next time, I should inform them if the debt is mine, the SOL has expired. I do not want the JDB to think I am unaware and they file a lawsuit. Recovering Attorney
Either way is fine. If the SOL has surely run, you could say " The SOL has run. Leave me alone. If you sue me, I'll sue you." and leave it at that. Or you could contiue to dispute the debt, deny your liability. Saying " I deny owing you any money" is an oblique way of saying " The SOL has run, silly."
