mj11
I have a judgement against me for 10k. I spoke to the attorney yesterday and he said that even though they have the judgement it has not been recorded yet, meaning it has not been reported to the credit agencies I suppose. He said if we can get it settled they will not report it. Something about a "T" number... anyone know anything about this? Does this sound legit? I know I will have to get it in writing, but it sounds like a way to not have the judgement show up.Thanks,
elyse449
If you haven't already, you may want to go over to the "Is there a lawyer in the house" folder and post this question there, perhaps someone will have a better idea on what this is. I haven't heard of this myself--it was my understanding that once you get a judgment, you're SOL unless you can get it vacated or whatever. I would think you'd want to get it vacated in exchange for paying it in full, but then I'm NO attorney. I wish I had more info for you. I sure hope this gets resolved nicely for you.Elyse
