TUSHHOG
I have a 120 day late payment from 2 years ago, i'm planning on purchasing a new home within the next 6 months should i worry about writting a goodwill letter to have TL removed? I have tried disputing the lates with the CRA's but it always comes back verified. I have had good luck with goodwill letters had 3 other TL removed they wouldn't remove the lates only the TL. would i do more harm than good messing with it now? It is the onliest neg on my report, my fico score is 688. I started at a 525 a little over a year ago so credit repair can be done thank ya'll for all the help. oh yeah the late is with bank of america and the account was paid in full not settled. rm2738
Being that the payment is two years old, I didn't think that it would effect you all that much. But I may be wrong on that, in that case:Did you dispute the late VIA US mail or Online? and did you request the information that the CRA used to verify their investgation? From what I've learned on here, Most Credit grantors won't waste their time on verifying info on a closed account. My initial thought would be that the CRA's aren't really verifying, especially if you've disputed numerous times. The often find it "frivelous."
