aunieandreg
has anyone ever had trouble with the OC listing false information. It list on my credit report that the charge was opened in 1997 and closed in 2002. I know it was open in 1993 or 94 when I was unmarried because it is listed under my maiden name. I was married in 1995. It also list payments in 2001-2004. I know this to be untrue. We have not dealt with them at least 7-8 years. I will add that Arrow Financial bought it in 2004. I called the OC and they have no information on that account. Is the date under DATE OPENED the date that the OC first reported to the CB? Or is that the date the account was actually opened by me? Any help will due. thanks
gypsie
Start by disputing the TL with the CRAs. Dispute it listed with the OC and the CA- if it's showing with both. If the OC has no info- then the CRA will not be able to verify and you should get a delete for the OC TL.Does Arrow still own the debt? Are they listed as a TL on your CRs? If so- DV Arrow- if the OC has no info on the account, then Arrow will not be able to validate.Dispute with the CRAs again- or which ever ones the TL is listed incorrectly once you receive confirmation that arrow has received your DV.Read this sticky until you can recite it!!:http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=263069
aunieandreg
Arrow still has it and we go to court on it 3-15-07. We recieved a summons and no contact before hand for a chance to validate. So I sent them 3 DV letters and they refuse to contact me because I informed them to please correspond in writing. Arrow hired Javich Block to sue us in Ohio. My SL on that account should have ended by now. I disputed the CBs and it came back verifiyed. But I know best buy has no further info on that account. I called them but could get no letter stating that from them. Also Javich Block has not awnsered my discovery yet. I did dispute best buy and it has not come back yet so Im hopeful on that as A removal. thanks for this great sitePS my sister-inlaw handled her first collection agency and called all the way from atlanta to tell me. So thanks for her too.
someonesomewhere
Be sure to bring all your CMRRR proof that you sent DV letters. Also, if the data ain't consistent across your CRs, then they are in violation.
