soprano1
Hello,I am new and very grateful to have found this site. I am beginning the process, and here is where I am. I sent CMRRR DV and C&D letters to 2 CAs today. Has anyone here ever dealt with Client Services, Inc or Plaza Associates? Those are the two. I also made a counter offer to the attorneys for 1 OC who made an offer to me to settle if I would drop counter claim regarding harassment. I got 2 of my 3 credit reports, but Equifax said they couldn't give me one online, which I do not understand why, and I don't like that they are asking for a pay stub from me to send me one by mail. They do not have my current employer, and I do not want them to have it! Any advice!
maggiemarie
I had the same problem. Requested my husband's and got it immediately. I first thought...discrimination, which I don't rule out....but I refused to give them any additional info. Finally, after several attempts, and several days and changing the way some CAPS were entered (or not) on the information requested online....I got mine. someonesomewhere
I got 2 of my 3 credit reports, but Equifax said they couldn't give me one online, which I do not understand why, and I don't like that they are asking for a pay stub from me to send me one by mail.Did EQ give you a choice of documents or did they insist upon a pay stub? If you have not already sent it, you could tell them you work for a small company and you get a handwritten check with no pay stub.EQ is the lone hold out in the realm of initial online access. You can dispute online with EQ, once you have a paper copy in hand. But initially you get a paper copy.I was searching the job listings of the Big 3 to get an idea about their technology. All three have IBM mainframes, and that is to be expected. But they also employ a variety of other technologies that should make it a no-brainer to allow initial online access. rhiannasilel
Hello. I'm new here, too and just trying to get the process going. I had a few issues getting my credit reports online, as well, but I found a way around it. I got them through freecreditreport.com. The bad part is you have to sign up for it, but it's a free trial and you can always just cancel the service before the 30 day trial is up. I'm not sure if this is really a recommended way of doing things or not, but it worked. The downside is I had to pay a little extra to get the credit score and it probably wasn't worth what I paid for it, but I wanted to get everything quickly -- call it my own eagerness to get this all behind me. someonesomewhere
Every 12 months, you can get a free copy of all three CRs thru http://www.annualcreditreport.comWith EX and TU, you can request and access it online, and you can dispute with them online. You don't have to wait for paper that way. With EQ, I've not had success requesting an online copy from them.
soprano1
Thanks to all who responded. I probably won't have time to do anything more until the weekend, but this weekend I will definitely try some of your suggestions. I've read a lot in the forums about different info being on the 3 reports, so I definitely want to know what is on Equifax's.
