stormywsmn
EQ deleted two judgements from my dh's report on the 7th!!! The bad news is on the 10th he got a true credit alert stating they had added them to his EQ report. They aren't showing up in the credit report section just yet. Which date counts, the one where they show up on the report or the one where we were alerted that they were added?I need to wait 5 days and then what? Write EQ a letter demanding they be removed permanently if they don't send a written notice by then? Under what grounds would I have to demand that or do I have any? myscoresawful
How did you go about having them removed in the first place? If it was because it couldn't be DV, or such, they may have finally come up with the proper paperwork and had it re added.I hope it doesn't ever show up there again for ya! stormywsmn
We just disputed them as "not mine". I was just curious about the rule about adding deleted reports back on the credit report. I'm sure they are coming because we got an alert from true credit. Recovering Attorney
when are you planning on paying them?
myscoresawful
when are you planning on paying them?Hey, I have a question about that. I have two judgements on one of my CRs that was actually paid within a month after they were filed. Is the likelihood of a paid judgement being reinserted (after it has been disputed and removed) the same as one that has not been paid?Just curious if this is a route I might want to try. Yes, they must notify you w/in 5 days of the reinsertion; however, if they don't, you can only report them for not doing so.
stormywsmn
when are you planning on paying them? When I have money. The reason we are in this mess isn't altogether because we are stupid. It's because we are stupid and broke. My dh has been laid off 4 times in the last 3 years. Every time it happened it set us back an unbelievable distance. Things are looking up though. My reason for wanting them off my credit report wasn't to not pay them. It was to be more qualified for renting because I would like to move and we aren't eligible to rent anywhere in this city based on our credit scores. That's when this credit repair journey really started. I want to move and found out the hard way I can't.

petr3772
bad items can always be put back on at a later date... try renting through a realtor or craigs list you might have more luck negotiating your credit score if you can show a positive rental history with a direct landlord. stormywsmn
Yeah, we've tried that too. It's more and more common for private landlords to pull your credit as well. Asking them about it makes you look super suspicious - tried that too.
