myscoresawful
I sent them a DV letter to the following address, because it was the one EQ supplied on my CR to use to contact them. I checked last night on usps.com to track the DV letter and saw that it was being returned to me because it could not be delivered as addressed..Anyway, I sent an email to them because a few others on here had some positive results with that and will see what happens. In the mean time, I found another NCO address on EX and TU (both different, for a total of three completely different address for NCO for the same $113 collection) and not really sure which one to use if the email doesn't work. It's listed as NCO financial (one of them has a 99 next to it)It gripes my butt that I spent about $5 on that letter only to have it returned to me and also have to restart the 30 day process! Thanks, just sort of wanted to vent... thomassl
You should list the addresses for us so we can tell you the correct one! I had the same thing happen on the inquiry for my bank. They listed a non-working telephone number which my bank could not identify. For this reason, I dispute it with the credit bureaus and requesting their "MOV" as I was unable to contact them this way....how could they? They claim this is the number given to them but I demanded to know who they contacted at that "bogus" telephone number so I could talk to them. Shortly after that, it was deleted from my report. Remember to keep thorough notes and a good paper trail. I feel that a $5 certified letter is certainly worth the eventually removal of a collection debt or false inquiry! rm2738
There's an NCO call center right down the street from me. We could just politely go over there and talk to someone face to face. But I'm sure there isn't anyone there that could help us out.

I will hold on to the returned letter, but don't know how it could help me in the long run?)

It shows the history of your credit efforts which could become extremely useful if you had to appear in court. Also, again, how did the credit bureaus verify this information if you can't? If you request their method of verification, in writing, they would have to tell you the what, when, who, etc. of how they verified the account! If not, they would have to delete it. I found this email address for someone who is apparently one of the "Big People" you can contact at NCO.
