SecretAgentWoman
Curious - I'm working on the medical bills. I feel there were mistakes made in billing, etc. The CA (Paramount Recovery) has been nice up till now, willing to wait while I check with the insurance, original creditor, maybe doctors, labs, involved. However, it looks like they have not updated my tradeline to "disputed" and have verified the account with the CRAs.Is this a violation or not? IngridA
I believe that would be an FCRA violation....

Said in another way, they don't have to take affirmative steps. If they DO make any reportings, then they MUST report that it is disputed. Here's how you catch them on the hook (and it's fair):Send your DV letter to the CA. Wait 30-45 days and then send your dispute letter to the CRA. Now they are double tagged. See: eg. Brady v. Credit Recovery (2nd Cir). AND MBNA v.
