TU stalling tactic or wrong interpretation

Hi everyone,

This is my first post and I hope I can get help with my question. In April of 2006 I DV'd an acct showing on my credit report. The CA refused to verify the debt and I then wrote to TU, and asked them to remove this inaccurate acct from my report. I sent along all necessary documents and proof that the CA did received my letters, yet have not sent proper verification of the debt.

In early May 2006 TU sent me a return letter stating that they verified this acct and I could add a 100-word statement to my report and/or request a description of how the investigation was conducted. On May 18, 2006, I did request a description of their investigation. On May 24, 2006 TU wrote back and asked me to send proof of my SSN.

Unfortunately, shortly after this letter from TU was received I had a death in my family that occupied all of my thoughts and time and my credit repair process was put on the back burner.I now have things settled in my life and family and would like to start with the credit repair process again.

1. Should I start where I left off with TUor has too much time passed?

2. Was this a stalling tactic by TU?

3.Do I need to start all over again and if so where do I start?

Thanks so much for your help.
