PaigeAMJ
I had a collection with CIT Lease Finance that i've been working on since 2004. I found out more info and I sent the AG letters about this. This last time I disputed it, I got letters back saying "updated" or "remains". However, I just checked my CR and it is not on TU or EX. What does this mean? Is this the period where they remove it for DV? If so, why wasn't it removed in the beginning of the process? I want to get happy but I don't want to be let down. My scores have sky-rocketed because of this!

My scores have sky-rocketed because of this!If you simply disputed with the CRA's, then the CA would have had 30 days to validate. If they did not within those 30 days then the CRA's should remove the account. The only problem with that is, the CA can still provide validation to the CRA's and have the item reinserted at a later date.
PaigeAMJ
I disputed with the CRA's and they came back as "updated" or "remains". However, I also sent in letters to the Attorney General and most of the companys high executive staff. On 3/12 my score was 640 and now it is 734. I am not definitely not complaining but i'm just a little curious. .Thanks for the help!
