CCB? National Enterprise Systems

I had (have) an account in collections with National Enterprise Systems. I tried to negotiate paying monthly and they told me NO. I had to settle in full and that it was "to late to make payments". They told me the account was scheduled to "go to legal" if I did not pay the full balance immediately. I took the advice of this board and mailed a DV letter and now I don't hear from NES but CCB is leaving me messages. I never got a reply to the DV letter. I do know that NES took over collecting from another agency and not the OC. Do you think they can't verify (because they are second CA involved) an therefore sold it to CCB? Does anyone have any experience with CCB? I have not talked to CCB - should I send them a DV letter today, considering I don't even know what exactly they are calling about? but I can assume...

I don't know what CCB stands for? Can you tell us? Do you have a recent copy of your credit report? The information on your report generally tells you who owns the debt. It's possible that the original creditor first utilized NES. If they were unsuccessful, they could have turned back to the original creditor who may be using another collection agency; or it's possible that NES bought the debt, could not collect and sold it to CCB. Can you post this the way it appears on your credit report so we can assist you? :)++

ccb is: CCB Credit Services, Inc., 1045 Outer Park Drive, Springfield, IL 62704, (217)787-0963, (800)755-5249 My credit report still has the OC as owner but it is marked closed and charged off. There is no sign of the other CA's on my credit report.

I would send them a DV letter (certified) immediately! :boxing:
