MR CJ
American Recovery Services, Inc.555 St. Charles Drive, Suite 100Thousand Oaks, Ca. 91360Verizon sent them a bill that I DO NOT OWE......Verizon published a "yellow page' ad that I DID NOT GIVE THE PERMISSION to do so....They turned it over to these num skulls.....I have requested proof ( a signed contract, ect.) from both Verizon and the scum collector. Neither can produce one.I sent a DV letter to the numskulls and a C&D along with it, they have failed to validate and are still sending collection letters and making phone calls................Now what?? willingtocope
A yellow page ad probably means this is busines related...which means that the FDCPA doesn't apply. But, you're next step I think is still the same as it would have been...sue. Got a lawyer?

unusualsuspect
MR-- Yellow Pages are business. The FDCPA does not apply to business debt. If the contract is not yours, you may have to sue.
MR CJ
I`m going to send "one " more letter to these numbskulls and tell them to "put up, or shut up". I will make it real simple for them......if ya` ain`t got it on paper...it didnt happen.So....who do I sue?....the CA or Verizon or both.....and in which court do I file the suit with and where.....I`m tired of people like this trying to bully me around and hassling me to pay some damn bill that I simply didnt give perimission for some one to run this stupid ad....... IHateCAs
I think you should speak to Verizon first. Someone else had this very problem recently. Try searching for yellow pages.
