Removing Lates On Open Accounts

Over 2 years ago I had trouble paying my bills on time with Gap, Target, and First Financial Bank. I have one 30 day late with first financial bank in 2003, with Target, TU reported one 30 day late, EX & EQ both reported a couple 30 day lates and one 120 day late but each is reporting different amount of lates. I disputed these lates cause they are considered negative/ adverse accounts and i would like them listed under the positive accounts. I know that since the most recent lates are over 2 years old it's not hurting my score it shouldnt really matter but I'd like them to be listed under positive accounts. Ive disputed these as "never late" twice and it came back "verified" . Can I send a goodwill letter to remove the lates for an account that is still open?

Thank you Gypsie Hopefully this works I've been very good on making all my payments on time.

:)% Hopefully, they will take your prompt payment history into consideration.

There's always a chance with goodwill letters- One of my friends has a Victoria's Secret card- same situation as you and they removed her 30 day late after she sent a goodwill letter.

I think I read somewhere that the OC doesn't keep track past 2 years of payments on an account. Is that true? I could be mistaken though. I would think they would have it for their records and for CL increase purposes, but then again they could do a credit check for that.
