I cant help this credit repair bug in me

Greetings all:

I checked my truecredit 3-1 today another 2 baddies came off on Eq. I was a little upset they didnt fall from tu/ex but those are coming.

I have to agree w/methuss that on line disputing is not always the best approach, although, I have had success in on-line disputing, i have also received just as many delete via phone. In my quest I find that EQ and TU are easier to get deletes from than EX. Ex is unseemingly, anyway, i suggest that all newbie keep reading your cr and establish a plan of attack.

How I first started was I took the oldest debts and disputed them first. I did because i knew the SOL were up or close to being up. Many times the oc/ca etc... wont catch it when you dispute so t will just fall off.

In essence when I started my quest 18 mo ago I had 24 inquires 22 baddies 2

judgements and 10 charge offs.

Now I have 2 inquires 8 baddies 1 judgement and 2 chargeoffs.

My scores have jumped over 150 pts during this 18 mo time frame.

I am getting closer to the 700 club. All credit repair activity is on hold now for the next 3 months while I obtain my mortgage.

previous scores ex 505 eq 495 tu 485

current fico ex 650 eq 550 tu 675

keep trying keep pushing and you will win this marathon

What does ti mean if you get a judgment against you? I dont have one now, but I am worried when I go get a loan for house, that my old second mortgage will put a judgement against because at the time I was able to pay the agreed amount for a few months.

It looks like my credit score right now is 579, 542 and 536 from the last CR pulled from the broker. How high do I have to raise it to get approved for a mortgage

It all depends on the mortgage company. Some will offer you a mortgage but at extremely high interest rates compared to A+ credit customers. I just got approved for a refinance for 6.5% with a FICO score of 594. The only hitch was that it's 15 years instead of 30. Worked for me. I would suggest trying to clear up your credit before you apply though. It will ensure a better rate and not limit you to taking what they consider "bad credit" help. It will take some time but the payoff in the end will save you ALOT of money. Good luck.

Meanwhile, I find EQ to be impenetrable, while TU folds like a napkin!! EX isn't far behind TU!!

Just goes to show ya, there's no one-size-fits-all approach to this. ;)

I know what you mean. I have the Bug too!

I have finally gotten my scores to an acceptable range

TU- 702

EX- 700

EQ- 663

Freakin EQ just won't climb fast enough for me!

When I started credit repair in 12/04- my EQ was 490.

I have had some fun over the years calling the CRAs at times and using my dumbest southern accent to seem completely ignorant! Got a delete every time with TU ::NahNah::

Momof5: My TU is now completely clean of a BK and all its IIBs. I mean, I CALLED them and disputed the date my BK would fall off, and they deleted it! Even when an IIB popped up again later, they deleted it with one phone call.

Gypsie: You always crack me up, girl! :)++ And I have the same problem with EQ... no matter what changes on my report for the better, my score never goes up.

That is crazy, I guess evryone is different as EQ is the easiest one for me and EX is the pain in my posterior.

Wife and I have had some luck thus far disputing online. However, I too am becoming persuaded that Methuss is right. I still agree with Dive that suing the CRAs shouldn't be one's focus and principle approach to credit repair, but written CMRRR disputes with the CRAs seem more effective as the CRAs can quickly become intransigent refusing to investigate or dismissing documentation one provides.

EQ are a bunch of horses ARSES. They have merged my brother AND father's accounts together and I am having a hard time getting them to delete those items. They keep coming back saying, "the information you provided does not match what's on our records". Well NO $HIP SHERLOCK, that's what this whole dispute is about! They are racking up a lot of violations though!

I'm having a blast trying to fix my credit! xdancex So far Ex has been the easiest with TU not far behind. I agree about EQ being horses posteriors though. They are still refusing to verify my identity regardless of having sent them copies of my DL and SS card. I did get another letter from them today verifying everything on their report while EX and TU have deleted at least 30% of the same TL's. They are beginning to sorely try my patience!

2/19/07 3/17/07

EQ 537 531

EX 523 560

TU 493 518

This disputing does get in your blood, doesn't it? Here I was just paying my bills on time, hoping that my score would go up...then these sneaky CA's pull out old debt that goes WAY back and try to resurface. I haven't dealt with a CA in years! All of my credit history from 2001 is completely clear...yet here they come.

Anyway...I've seen several post that they pull their TC report a lot. How do you do that? I apparently am signed up for the once a month plan or something. I get my 3 in 1 but it doesn't change until a month has passed. How can I start getting them daily as I see some of you do?

Once you pull up your reports there is a little link that's blue that says update. Click on the link answer some questions and thats how you update you cr. You have to wait 24hrs before you can do it again.

The best way to pull your report I found is through Truecredit.com, I pull my report once a day. Im sure that ex and eq have the same procedure. Wehn u pull your tu look in the right hand column and click update and follow the prompt. Also, companies like mycreditkeeper only pulls a report once a month, thats why i like true credit u can pull a new report every 24 hours.

It was easy for me to drop the inquiries from Equifax (18 to 2), but Experian and TransUnion would not delete anything the first time I asked. I just sent letters into each inquiry company stating that I never authorized it. Hopefully this will help get them removed. I really just need to have some removed from Exp... It says I have 13. TU is only showing 5. But I want them ALL gone :)

Glad to be of some service Ma'am. Do remember cantu that true credit only displays fako and not fico, you have to go to myfico.com for your true fico scores, which may be even higher or around the same.

I'm on myfico.com right now...WOOF they are high. Isn't there a way you can just sign up for a one time view, to pull it as you need it? I can get a 30 day trial free, but the annual cost is prohibitive, especially when I refuse to use my credit cards.

Ok, ok...I'll do it. Are you going to be telling me that at the end of my 30 days I'll never want to cancel??? 8-)

The 30 day access only gives your EQ Fico score, once. You do get a second pull of your EQ, so you could wait until Day 29, pull it, and get the change that occurred in that time.

Paid annual or monthly access only gives you EQ. You have to pay for TU and EX.

I signed up for 30 days free, I paid for TU and EQ, but I'm probably going to pull EQ come Day 29 and then cancel. Maybe repull TU and EQ, if there's enough change.

If you do pay for MyFico products, be sure to search for 20% discount codes here first.

Yeah u will want to cancel because you really only need to know your fico when your about to assume new credit such as purchasing a home.

Now that your score is higher the hard part starts. Keeping where its at or higher.

So in my opinion keep all your cc's utilizations below 30%. i.e. card balance of $1000 dont use more than $300.

Also dont pay your balance off every month leave between 3-5% balance on your cc's. That will help your score increase because it will show that you are using credit wisely.

Lastly continue to pay bills on time.

I forgot to use the discount and called myfico and they refunded me $6 for my ex and tu pulls. And the promo is over at the end of march.

I believe the promo code is at the top of their page code is (6years)

Got my FICO on EQ...and now I am really curious. EQ is 683, as opposed to my FACO of 658...pretty big difference.

Now the million $$$ question, should I buy the TU and the EX at nearly $16 each or sign up for the "FICO DELUXE" which sells for $47? Is the FICO Deluxe only going to give me my FICO scores for all 3 just one time? If so, I'd be better off to pay the $16 each. Or does it work like True Credit where I have unlimited access to my scores for the next year (I'm guessing it's a one time shot...website is inconclusive).

I may wait to the 29th day, pull my EQ FICO again, and pay for the others at that time, then cancel. I am still waiting on a dispute I sent to the 3 CRA's. But I really want to know if the others are higher, like EQ was. ARG! Decisions, Decisions!

If you've got 30 days free access to MyFico ScoreWatch, you get EQ free of charge, and you can pay $25.52 to get both TU and EX (with a 20% discount code).

I did it...got the discount...and here goes:

FICO 3/21/07

TU - 662, EQ - 683, EX - 706

FACO 3/20/07

TU - 696, EQ - 658, EX - 679

What a difference! Now I am going to bed!
