Mark
Hello, I have a couple of serious delinquencies on my credit report that I am having problems dealing with. Silly me moved to Louisiana 3 days before Katrina visited and blew the south end of the state apart. I had already sent change of addresses out. Some of my credit card companies did not send me invoices until the FEMA moratorium was lifted. One of my credit card companies and a couple of other creditors say that they did not get the changes of address. We were dealing with a lot of stuff due to the move and the storm and new job and I assumed that everybody was operating under the moratorium. By the time we figured it out it was already approaching 90 days delinquent. Is there a way to ligitmately dipute these items? As soon as I became aware of them they were paid in full. momof5
I think your best option here is to write the OCs a goodwill letter explaining the challenges you had because of Katrina. They might be far more open to dropping your lates than the average Joe.
divemedic
Actually, I think that there was a law passed for Katrina zone people. Look in to that.
