grimlockgrill
What do you do when you want to dispute with an OC on things that are not yours on your credit report due to fraud. I dont have a police report because I didnt know what to do at the time I lost my wallet but my local police dept said to get a notorized affidavit http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/affidavit.pdf. Is there any other advise that you can give me??
qtptute
Send a fraud alert letter to the CRA's with an FTC ID Theft Affidavit (you can find one that is ia fillable PDF on our website www.krumbeinlaw.com/consumer), have it notarized. A police report is a nice touch, but not always easy to get (like you said the police dept's didn't want to do anything). Keep a copy of it and send it to the CRA's CMRRR. When you get your CR's back, go through and see what remains. Dispute again to the CRA's. Keep a copy and send it CMRRR.
