Dispute or ignore?

My credit file is merged with information from both my brother and my fathers information. The accounts that are actually my brothers are generally all pretty good and all except one. All the others list in the "Accounts in good standing" section, however, some of these same accounts have zero balances but have high balances which exceeded the credit limit. Should I ignore them as they may be helping my credit or should I dispute them and get rid of them?

Hmmm. What I would do is a nice quiet online dispute for the one account that isn't so good. But it would still risk having all the other accounts that aren't your being deleted.

You should read that debate about online disputes first.

As for the accounts being overlimit at one time, but not anymore, I doubt if that does much damage.

There is also the moral dilemma that you are benifiting from good accounts that aren't yours. If your score would tank if they were gone, you may want to use it as anadvantage to get some accounts of your own before you dispute them. They tradelines will be new, but if you can get high credit limits, it will help.
