NeedRelief
When I send payments to one particular debt buyer, the person who picks up the mail from the post office, will sign the top line which says "signature", but they do not print their name on the second line, or date the day they signed the green card. Does this matter? I don't want any problems later. Everyone else usually signs, prints, and dates the green return receipt card. Is there anything else I should do to protect myself. I have the dark green certified receipt, lime green signature return signature card, and money order receipt. By the way, this is also the debt buyer who changed my due date to a date two weeks earlier, without contacting before hand, despite the fact "i have a letter from the company showing a later agreed upon due date". Thanks.
ferdilverdil
I used to have the task of overseeing the auction process for a self storage company. In doing so I would mail out certified letters, return receipt requested. Most people only sign and dont print their name or put the date. This is OK, as long as you get the green card back as proof of delivery, since it will have the date it was mailed stamped on it.

unusualsuspect
Check online too. I always print it out and tape my CM receipt on it.
myscoresawful
I'm pretty sure that if it was dire that they print or date, that the mail carrier would see to it that it's done. I know I have gotten some back where the person didn't date it, but the postal stamp was on there, so at least we knew it was signed before that date or on that date.
