soccerpal144
I currently have a claim on my report from a collection agency, while it could be mine.....I tried looking it up on their website and they have the wrong SSN for me. Can this be disputed and taken off?
thegame26
you can dispute anything. as to if it will come off or not that depends on what they can prove. how far off is the number? its possible a couple of numbers may have just been superimposed (word choice?) like 09 instead of 90.. thegame26
its like 14 instead of 11! So I don't know if that changes anythingso part of the number says 14 instead of 11? Sounds like it may have just been a clerical error entering it. still dispute it though.
serenity06
I have the same situation with one of the items on my credit report. I did find out this from one of the members on this forum. DO NOT.. I mean DO NOT give them your SSN because they can change it in their database to show your number. I did not understand how to dispute in. I hope both you and me can find out. I had the incident where my number is 09 and they have 90. So can someone on here help us with this problem.

serenity06
I am slow where is that law at and what type of letter do you write to them. Do you have sample of what I can write to them? I looked in the sample letters above but don't see it?
SOC
Sorry, at first i thought this was funny, but now i realize you really might be asking a question. If its not you, then its not you. As Dive said, there is no "sort of you". Dear CB, I dispute this that the other as it is not me nor has it ever been me.
