Judgment Question

Recommended Posts

After reviewing my CR I saw a Judgment on my report. I went further and got a copy of the judgment to see the details. They are as follows. Default judgment for plaintiff in 2001 case disposed. Then it was Redocketed 10 days later. This happened about 4 times in a year. Finally, The notes read Change from Redocketed to disposed indefinately. I might add that each time the claimed they served me papers they were taped to the door of my place of residence. However, I hadn't lived at the address any more. Jump another year forward, now a CA is trying to get me to pay the original debt ( with out the fees). I've already sent the CA a DV letter. My questions are

1) what should I do about the judgment ( I believe that the SOL is up next year)

2) what should I do about the CA?

Thanks....

What kind of judgment is it? The statue of limitations for Indiana is 6 yrs. There are some unpaid judgments that stay on your report indefinitely such as taxes. Since you already sent the DV letter to the CA, I would wait and see what they say. xdancex
