Mortgage reporting late... Need insight

HSBC is reporting my mortgage as 30 days late 6 out of the last 8 months. I was only late once, due to the post office. I pulled my payment history off their website to confirm this. My question here is... Can I in some way leverage against HSBC to get them to report as "Paid/Never late" since they are knowlingly reporting the other 5 months as late? I disputed with all 3 CRA's and all came back as verified/no change. Only thing is I did those online, so i do not have a paper trail.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, forgot to mention that.... I did, spoke to a general service rep, he said that they have no way to see what is being reported to the CRA's and his Supervisor said the same thing. They want me to FAX a copy of my CR to their "Research Dept." I was looking for a way to get that one late removed that was infact late.

If I were in your situation, I would go to their (HSBC) website, print out the status of your mortgage, showing that you've been 30 days late only once, then write a letter stating that you have reported the error to the CRA, yet again in error it was verified by the folks at HSBC. Gently advise that your sure, just as you had made a payment error once on this TL, they have made one as well by not accurately reporting, that it's no big deal and would they please correct it and consider, as a one time goodwill adjustment, showing the account as being paid as agreed without being 30 days late the one time that you actually were. Make sure you send them the printout from their website and if you know it, the actual date that they verified with the CRA. At this point you should be as specific as you possibley can yet non threatening. Make copies of everything and send it to them CMRRR.

I would also request MOV from the CRAs. By requesting MOVs, their response to you on how they verified is proof that you disputed

I would fax them a copy of the information you got from them showing you paid on time! :ah:ah:ah:

  • 2 weeks later...

I faxed a dispute letter and sent it CMRRR, I got a letter back yesterday saying that I was infact 30 days late in December and that they can not change the reporting. WTF!? I admitted I was late one month, I was trying to get them to fix the other ones that are being reported as late but were in fact not late!! Any help would be great!
