wzelewsky
Can someone help me get started. I have my husband credit report, have sent Dvs to new and old CAs. And sent CMRRR to all including the CRAs, now the CAs only have till April 5th to send a response back, and as seen from prior posting if the Cas are older than 30 days then they dont have to respond. Does that mean I should just face it and pay them? And the CRAs what happens if they dont respond by April 22nd? What should I do I do next? I also received a BILL from a CA after I ask for DV, what do I do with this? Do I send them another notice? I feel overwhelmed and that I have no clue what I am doing, can some one please help me get started. Also what are the codes on the Truecredit, I pulled that today and I am clueless. I want to make sure I am doing this right you can even instant messange me to help me.... PLEASE
willingtocope
Can someone help me get started. Did you read over the debt validation flowchart at...http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=249329and the credit repair discussion at....http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=263069I have my husband credit report, have sent Dvs to new and old CAs. And sent CMRRR to all including the CRAs, now the CAs only have till April 5th to send a response back, and as seen from prior posting if the Cas are older than 30 days then they dont have to respond.Sounds like you are off to the right start...but...the CA's don't have to respond. They only have to mark the credit reports "In dispute". They can take as long as they want to respond. Does that mean I should just face it and pay them? No...just because you owed someone money doesn't mean these idiots have the right person, the right account, the right amount, and the right to collect in your state. And the CRAs what happens if they dont respond by April 22nd? What should I do I do next? The CRAs have 30 (or 45 days depending on how the dispute was sent) to mark your reports "In dispute". Again, once that's done, your next step would be the "1-2 punch"....do a search on that.I also received a BILL from a CA after I ask for DV, what do I do with this? Do I send them another notice? If your DV was within the first 30 days of them contacting you, then this might be considered continued collection and a violation of the FDCPA. If it was not, or if there is the possiblity that your letters crossed in the mail, just wait for their next response.I feel overwhelmed and that I have no clue what I am doing, can some one please help me get started. yeah, there's a lot to learn. Just bite it off in little chunks, and you'll get through it.Also what are the codes on the Truecredit, I pulled that today and I am clueless. willingtocope
What do I do if it is older than 30 days? I suggest using the "hey, I just found you on my credit reports, I never had an account with you guys, prove to me this is mine or get lost" approach. The FDCPA says 30 days after "first contact"...so, basically, you just claim it was when you saw them on your reports. If it ever comes to court, this might not hold up...but, its all you got right now. This is what the broker pulled for a credit report. INS09 or OPN 09, 09MTG 08,.Okay, now that beats the heck outa me. Maybe someone else will chime in.And what does it mean by Disposable Cash? Based on what they know about your bills and your income, they try to estimate what's left.Is there away to remove the HOW MANY TIME IT SHOWS ON YOUR CR YOU APPLIED FOR CREDIT IN LAST 12 MONTHS? Are these inquiries they are looking at?Do a search on "bumpage" or "bumping". (Doesn't always work). Is there away to get my scores from TU 581, EX 543 to 600? someonesomewhere
What do I do if it is older than 30 days?If it's a CA, DV 'em anyway. Just follow Kristi's DV flowchart at the link BFG provided. This is what the broker pulled for a credit report. INS09 or OPN 09, 09MTG 08,.OK, I'm REALLY confused by that. Have you pulled your free annual CRs yourself at annualcreditreport.com? If not, then you need to do it. Once you see your reports yourself, you can start getting a handle around what's on your report and what you need to worry about. And what does it mean by Disposable Cash? Was that on your CR or was that something the broker mentioned? Probably talking about cash that you can use to pay earnest money deposit, closing costs, etc. Or could be talking about money to pay down some debt to get a better FICO score. Can you borrow from your rich Uncle Charlie and Aunt Sadie? Did Grandma will you 200 acres of land in Montana that you could sell? Do you have a '67 Shelby Mustang GT-350 sitting in storage somewhere? Is there a valuable art object, diamond necklace, or something else of intrinsic value you could sell?If you have money in an IRA, you can withdrawal I believe up to $10K for a first time home purchase without penalties. Caveat: I believe it has to be a Roth IRA, so you'd have to first convert the money from a Traditional to a Roth IRA, pay taxes on at least some of that money, and then pull it outta the Roth for the home purchase. If you have money in a 401K from a previous employer that is just sitting there earning interest, you can do a rollover into an IRA. Banks, insurance companies, investment firms, H&R Block, and any number of other folks will set one up for you.Is there away to remove the HOW MANY TIME IT SHOWS ON YOUR CR YOU APPLIED FOR CREDIT IN LAST 12 MONTHS?There are both hard and soft inquiries. When you pull your CRs, you'll see the difference. Don't worry about soft pulls. In answer to your question, yes, hard pulls can get removed from EQ by disputing or TU thru bumping. Takes a little to bump 'em off, but lots of folks have had success. Is there away to get my scores from TU 581, EX 543 to 600?Well, sure. Time and money heal lots of things, credit in particular. With enough time and money, you can get your scores in the 800s.However, I don't know what sorta window you're working with. Are you trying to buy a house by summer, the fall, mid 2010, something else?
